Achieving leadership in the fields of urban planning at the local, regional and international levels to reach excellence in education programs for urban planning courses to bachelor and graduate degrees with internationally recognized. Besides, developing the studies centers at the faculty to contribute effectively in development projects.


Continued development of the science of planning and urban designed for undergraduate and graduate studies to prepare urban designers who are able to understand and solve the architectural problems of society in the light of the economic, political, social, environmental variables, raise the efficiency of theoretical and applied studies and research and meet the needs of the community to produce a scheme capable of local, Arab, regional and international competition using the latest Technology Information systems and research methods for the requirements of the twenty-first century.


  1. Developing a scientific approach applied to the modern science of planning and urban design, and engineering and human sciences compatible with the needs of society and the different requirements of work.
  2. Support the ability of graduates to meet the requirements of professional practice and commitment to traditions and to participate and compete effectively with working teams in different disciplines of urban planning.
  3. Expanding the students' intellects, developing creativity and innovation to solve the problems of society.
  4. Strengthening the capacity of students to self-learning and information collection, classification, analysis and producing projects, design, planning and presenting them following a scientific methodology to solve the problems of development in society.
  5. Strengthening the students' skills particularly the use of various computer applications, techniques, skills, technology tools and information systems in all disciplines of planning and urban design.
  6. Graduating qualified planners and designers who possess understanding and scientific knowledge keeping up with the requirements of the Age.
