The Faculty of Regional and Urban Planning, representing  Cairo University, won the research project presented to the

STDF Science, Technology and Innovation Finance

under the title "Building Governance Centers of Excellence for Unplanned Areas of Egyptian Cities"

The contract was signed between the President of Cairo University and the President of the Authority under the honor of HE the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the ministry's leaders, in the presence of the head of the working group, Professor Dr. Tarek Abu Al-Saud, in a ceremony on Thursday, August 19th, 2021 at 10 a.m.

 in the headquarters of the new International University of Science in the new city of Al-Alamein

In the presence of the Minister of Higher Education, the President of the New Administrive Capital Company for Urban Development, Professor Dr. President of Cairo University, and a number of presidents of public and private universities

The Faculty of Urban Planning team won under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mohammed Rifaat, Asst. Prof. Dr. Noha Abdelaziz, Asst. Lecturer Islam Alnazer, T.A Ahmed Sukkar, T.A Majid Jamal and a group of students from the 3rd and 4th division
